It's an addiction most people suffer from...caffeine, it's so yummy. And thanks to unyielding consumerism, coffee shops are popping up all over the place, pretty much one on every corner. You've got your Starbucks, Caribou, Dunkin Donuts, Port City Java (for all you Wilmington, NC people), Misha's (for anyone living in the Old Town Alexandria, VA neighborhood), and even McDonalds has jumped on the train with McCafe. It all depends on your taste and wallet...sometimes I just gotta have my Solo Grande Skinny Vanilla Latte from the Bux (thank you Michael Scott), or my new favorite Northern Lite Mocha from Caribou...only 170 calories! Done and Done!
My personal preference is Caribou. It's not only fun to say the name in my Sarah Palin accent, but the espresso is much sweeter than Starbucks. With Caribou I don't get that burnt, bitter taste as I do from Starbucks. You know what I'm talking about. I can't drink the sludge that the husband drinks, four shots of espresso and two pumps of chocolate, yup, that's his favorite. My stomach hurts just thinking of it.
So on that note we come to something I'm very jazzed about, and it's not just the espresso making me jittery. It's time for the very first Sheather Blog Contest!!!
